Where My Wanderlust Has Taken Me and Where I Plan to Go Next

I took this shot in Greece

My true love that I inherited from my beautiful Mother is traveling the world. From the time I was very young I would sneak into my Mother's boudoir and watch her dress for her evening occasions out with Father. She was stunning with her natural bee stung lips, flawless peaches and cream
complexion, hypnotic blue eyes and legs that seemed to stretch a few miles long. She would capture my complete attention with her romantic tales of international travel and foreign cultures that were
narrated with her amorous Southern accent.

Thanks to her, I have a passion for seeing the beauty of the world around me and all that it has to offer.  I started traveling at a very young age  with my family and completed much of my studies overseas. I continue to travel the world as I work in the tiny, exotic land of Kuwait that has become my beloved second home.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

  1. My favorite country, well that's difficult, I think my favorite region is Asia. I can't believe you have never been to Thailand, it is such a popular tourist spot for people living in the region. I really loved Japan and you must go, it is fabulous. Yet, I travelled through China starting from Shang-hi, Beijing, Xian, Chengdu though Lijang and finally ending by China journey in Hong Kong, one of my favorite cities in the world. A very special journey is Bali where you experience some soul searching and the cultural dancing, fabrics, and wood carvings are the best in the world.I haved travelled to Singapore many times, I could live in Singapore, it is a wonderful city. If I shared a moment in conversation with the Emir of Kuwait, I would advise him to look towards Singapore to solve some of the issues plaguing this nation such as water, which should be more valuable to this country than oil. I would also advise him to have Singapore build a botanical garden in Kuwait which I think would do wonders for the demeaner of this nation, Singapore has beautiful botanical gardens. I am surprised also that Singapore is not on your list. You haven't been to the Maldives or did you leave that off your list? The Maldives is the most beautiful country that I have travelled to in the world, I love to go fishing there and travel there yearly. There is much to learn from Asia, it holds many of the answers to our life's questions, it holds much knowledge in dealing with our health issues in an alternative level, especially in China. The ying and the yang, the Buddhist principles that follow their everyday life. You need to add this region to your next itinerary with heart open and your mind free, there is so much beauty and so much to learn from these countries.

    1. I only mentioned a few countries that I planned on visiting next. I also said I want to see every country. :) I just didn't want to list them all in the post.

The reason I haven't been to Thailand yet is because I've never had the desire to visit Asia (yet). It's the last continent I want to visit and always planned on waiting till I was older. It's nothing against Asia but it is last on my list.

When it comes to beaches I grew up with our condo and beach house on the most beautiful sugar white sand and emerald colored water. I tend to get disappointed when I visit beaches around the world. Hawaii, the Pacific Atolls & Florida is hard to beat regarding beaches.

I almost went to the Maldives many times. You used to have to fly out of Dubai but I believe we can go from Kuwait now. H wants to go to The Seychelles because he says it's better. I just want to travel to as many countries as I can before I leave this earth.

Thanks for your comment and I promise to visit more of Asia one day. :)

    1. I looked up his pic and profile. I guess the producers know what they are doing but he doesn't make me want to get tied up. ;) Too British looking for my taste. And yes, he is a Southern boy. ;P

  4. I think that Ian Somerhalder would make a good Christian Grey. He has that smirk look that Christian does in the book, definately going to fly to London to see this movie! Great book! Ana though is a tricky cast, I could think of many actresses that could play Ana. I think they need to be careful with the age, she needs to be young. Kate is most definately Blake Lively.

    1. He would make the absolute perfect Christian. I LOVE Vampire diaries. Maybe they should go for a relatively unknown to play Anna? Someone with loads of acting ability and talent.

  8. 26 countries! Wow I'm soooo jealous. I traveled to Canada, US, UK, Egypt, KSA, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Mauritius, Indonesia, Maldives. The best so far is the united states and the reason is that you belong to it :-P

J/K US is the best because it's big and you can do so many different things, I mean nature, shopping, entertainment .. etc and it's not as expensive as Europe.
